Learn-to-Stitch Embroidery Kit
Learn to stitch with this beginner-friendly embroidery kit! It includes a stitch sampler and full skeins of DMC embroidery thread, so you can practice 10 common embroidery stitches—all the tools you need to get started and explore the craft of embroidery.
The Standard Kit comes with the following:
- FSC Certified 6" wooden embroidery hoop
- Two squares of calico fabric (best used together to create a strong background for your piece of art)
- 9 skeins of DMC embroidery thread
- John James Size 5 Embroidery Needle
- Printed booklet containing the pattern and a QR code to the full PDF Pattern.

In the PDF Download you will receive:
- A black and white outline of the pattern that can be traced onto fabric.
- A DMC colour guide explaining what colour thread is used for each part of the pattern (although you're welcome to adopt your own colour palette!)
- A stitch guide. This explains what stitch is used for each element of the pattern.
- A Beginners Guide to Embroidery as part of the download, which explores:
What you need to get started
- What fabric to use
- How to transfer your pattern
- How to start and end your thread
- How to load, and also back/finish your hoop
- Instructions (with photographs) of the stitches used in the pattern

These rainbow threads provide a great base of colours which are perfect for starting out. Here, you can branch out and pick lots of complementing colours to grow your thread selection!
You will not receive step-by-step instructions for how to complete this exact pattern, but the free guide is sufficient for you to be able to complete the pattern.

How do I get the download?
After purchase, you will be sent an email confirmation for your order, as well as a direct link to download your PDF embroidery pattern as part of your kit.
If it hasn't arrived after 15 minutes, be sure to check your Spam/Junk before reaching out to us!
Are the patterns suitable for beginners?
Absolutely! Every pattern comes with a full 'beginners guide', including information on loading the fabric, tracing your pattern, and threading your needle. Not. to mention the Stitch Guide and Colour Guide so you can follow each pattern perfectly!
What about the materials?
Each kit contains the materials so that you can create this pattern.
All you'll need is:
- Transfer pen (a pencil is fine if you don't have a heat erasable pen!)
- Scissors
